Enameled Cast-Iron Tetsubin Teapot - Red

First created in ancient China, cast-iron teapots were later adopted and refined by the Japanese into "Tetsubin" - graceful, elegant vessels for brewing tea. Made of specially purified cast iron, a coating of black enamel is applied to the inner surfaces so no metallic taste is transferred, and a stainless steel infuser basket eases preparation. Once heated, the cast iron keeps tea hotter longer than conventional teapots. 16 oz. capacity.
